Does the metal change how it feels?
Not much. Intensity depends on how many nail tips share your body weight, which is set by the spacing. A 10 mm copper board and a 10 mm aluminum board feel very similar. Some practitioners say copper feels slightly warmer to the touch; that is a personal impression, not a measured effect.
Why some people prefer copper
